Stephen Vardanega is a founding partner of Vardanega Roberts. He has practised in insurance law since his admission as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1981. He is also admitted to practice in the ACT and the High Court. Stephen conducts litigation in the Federal, Supreme, District and Local Courts. He has acted on behalf of local and overseas insurers, self-insurers, brokers and claims administrators on a wide range of matters including major claims in the following areas:

- Professional Indemnity
- Accident and Health Insurance
- Drafting of insurance policies, clauses and related documents

- In February 2016 he gave a presentation to the Lloyd's Market Association on liability insurance and Workers Compensation Recoveries
- Presentation of papers and seminars on various insurance-related topics. Recent topics included the liability of public authorities; handling a liability claim; issues associated with accident and health claims; liability claims involving unregistered lifting equipment and labour-hire workers
- Lecturing at the College of Law and University of Sydney on the subject of Employer Liability
- Seminars for self insured clients on the subjects of Risk Management and Occupational Health & Safety
He is a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association.
